Missing the startstruck badge

I have a repo that crossed 16 stars (almost 1 day back).. but I still don't have the Starstruck badge on my profile. Am I missing something or does it take some time before the badge appears?

Hey, I encountered a similar problem earlier with my badge, but I found a solution by clicking on my achievements then it displayed the list of badges I had earned, and even though it wasn't showing on my profile, I was able to find it there. I resolved the issue by hiding the badge and then unhiding it. This worked for me, and my badge finally appeared under my profile.

then click the badge hide then unhide it again

It's possible becoz this feature is still in beta, leading to occasional glitches. I hope this information helps you with your issue.

It's not showing anywhere in my case.. the repository is in an organisation that my friend created sometime back but I am one of the admins of the repo

Hmm I think maybe it's not your repository instead it belongs to an organization, that is why I suppose.

I checked your profile and yeah it belongs to the organization. In order to get Starstruck badge you need to own the repository yourself.

(If I've mistakenly informed, please correct and remind me)

i think as in @faridnec what you have to do @piyushK52 on that case is to go on your profile on the on the contribution settings

when you click on the drop down icon it will provide you with some options, then mark a check on the private contribution as in the following picture.

then i guess on that case it must be from a repo you have created not an org's repo.
