Does my school have to participate? and other questions

Hi everyone,

Hi everyone, I'd like to access GitHub Education benefits, but I can't seem to proceed from the https://education.github.com/discount_requests/application?type=student page. I did the most of the items on the 'before you begin' list, but I can't verify my school email because my highschool won't allow outside email, only mail from @[myschool].edu emails. So I can't verify my email that way, is there another way?
Also, my highschool is a charter school, so I don't actually attend the campus. I do school online, so my address is like ~60 miles from the school's office. Is that an issue?
Finally, my school doesn't come up when I search it in first question of the 'application'. When I click continue, I approve the location request, but nothing happens. Does my school have to participate with Github Education? I don't know how to proceed.
