GitHub Interface Bug: ORCID ID disappears after profile updates

Steps to Reproduce:

1. Go to your GitHub profile.
2. Ensure that your ORCID ID is displayed on your profile.
3. Make any profile update (e.g., add a company name, enable "Display current local time").
4. Save the changes.
5. Observe that the ORCID ID disappears from the profile immediately after the update.
6. Refresh the page, and the ORCID ID reappears.

Expected Behavior:
The ORCID ID should remain visible after saving changes to the profile.

Browsers Tested:

• Brave: Version 1.73.91 Chromium: 131.0.6778.85 (64-bit)

• Chrome: Version 131.0.6778.86 (64-bit)

• Firefox: Version 133.0 (64-bit)

• Chrome on Android: Version 131.0.6778.85

Operating Systems Tested:

• Windows 11 Pro

  • Version 23H2
  • OS Build 22631.4541

• Android 15

Additional Notes:

• The issue persists across multiple browsers, devices, and operating systems.
• A refresh resolves the issue temporarily.
