React native build failed with enableProguardInReleaseBuilds true

I am getting issue with ./gradlew assembleRelease when i enabled enableProguardInReleaseBuilds to true in build.gradle getting error

Task :app:minifyReleaseWithR8 FAILED

• What went wrong:
  Execution failed for task ':app:minifyReleaseWithR8'.

A failure occurred while executing com.android.build.gradle.internal.tasks.R8Task$R8Runnable
Compilation failed to complete, origin: D:\React-Projects\update\sample-react-project\android\app\build\intermediates\merged_java_res\release\base.jar

i have checked this location but i didnt get base.jar file there
