Looking for a Release Coordinator for Spec 2.5 (September)

AsyncAPI Spec 2.5 is planned to be released in September (See release cadence).

That means we would need a volunteer to be the Release Coordinator.

Help from previous release coordinators will be offered so that you won't be completely alone on this.

Note
The release coordinator doesn't have to do all the work alone. The release coordinator needs to find the right people to do the work required for a given phase and engage as many people as needed.

@nawed2611 and @char0n you both have answered almost at the same time. I'm thinking that we could do one of the followings:

• To consider @nawed2611 the release coordinator as the comment was technically posted earlier than @char0n (unfair with timezones?)
• You both decide who becomes release coordinator for this version and the other one becomes release coordinator for the version after.
• To consider both of you as release coordinators as an exception (a bit hard to manage imho; who should people ping if needed?)
• We ask the community to vote who should become release coordinator.

We can setup live meetings as well to improve the coordination effort 🙂 Many possibilities.

How about @char0n coordinates this release (as I haven't done it before} and I can do it for the version after.

This will also help me know the tasks of a Release Coordinator during a release

@nawed2611's suggestion sounds reasonable. I'll handle 2.5 as I'm familiar with the changes there and will document what the job of coordinating the release actually involved.

Just to not extend the discussion further, I suggest we validate your suggestions so:

• @char0n becomes Release Coordinator for September 2022 release.
• @nawed2611 becomes the main candidate for Release Coordinator for January 2023 release.

in case this is still valid. There is a PR to introduce new binding asyncapi/bindings#141 and if it goes well, maybe new binding key will be added to the spec in September

I'll make my self familiar with the role of Release Coordinator during the weekend and I'll start working towards the 2.5 release goal.
