• Learn how git and github works(it will help you learn how to contribute)
• Pick up a project you find interesting and try to understand it
• Start with small contributions to documentations and learn along the way to start making bigger contributions(like doing bug fixes, etc)
• Dive deep into the project(like adding new features)
• Be consistent in contributing
