Capture and Annotate feature is not uploading modified image

Hey, community,

I have enabled the feature called Copy URL before uploading the screenshot. But when I use the Capture and Annotate feature it doesn't upload the modified version with annotation images to the cloud.

Normal screenshot without annotation is working great.

Please suggest if I'm missing anything here.

Hi there! That sounds odd. Could you please post a step by step explanation to reproduce the issue, and add your expected outcome? I’ll try to look into it then.

The feature "Copy URL before uploading the screenshot" copies the URL to the file (supported by most storage providers) to your clipboard while the upload is running (not finished), not in the moment you take the screenshot or annotate it. You have to click the upload button first.

I have shared a normal screenshot-capturing process and then I captured a screenshot and added an arrow to it. But it doesn't automatically upload to the cloud and copy the URL to the clipboard.

Got you! That's a misunderstanding. You don't do the annotation with Dropshare. Instead, you're using CleanShot X, that's a supported third-party app that you selected in the Dropshare preferences. If you're done with the annotation in CleanShot X, you have to drag & drop the file to Dropshare to upload. Just take the "Drag Me" handle at the bottom of the CleanShot X window and drop it to the Dropshare icon in the menu bar.
