Force selected items to always display in the same order as options?

I am making a tagging interface in my application. The tags have a sort order defined so that they always display in the same order anywhere in the application.

When selecting options in the Tom Select input, the newly-selected item is always displayed at the end of the list in the selected items field. Is it possible to order these by the sort order field, the same way the options are?
