Currently we have the app deployed on AWS LightSail, which is quite expensive, as it is charges for usage even when the instances are stopped (it charges per plan). We have two versions:

  • original from summer 2020 (currently off) which contains some data (4GB RAM, 80GB of storage)
  • dev version, currently deployed, (8GB RAM, 160GB of storage)
    • note: the 4GB RAM version was resulting in out-of-memory error

Test deployment on AWS ec2:

  • instance cost: 0.0832*24 = $2 (per day, can be stopped and started as needed)
  • volume cost: 80 * 0.08*12 = $76.8 (80GB per year)
  • other small costs?
