As I see 2.12.0 failing continuously and the issue is untriaged. This might be a blocker for 2.12.0 release, as starting tomorrow (Feb 6th) the release window starts for generating RC.

@prudhvigodithi thanks, i want to call out this again to prevent this in the future (e.g. for 2.13). it's the same ask in that PR description

In all future release versions (>=3.0.0, >=2.12.0, >=1.3.15), the manifest file should not include working_directory: gantt-chart. This seems to be done manually (e.g. opensearch-project/opensearch-build#4264). cc. @zelinh

Sure @joshuali925 since the changes are on main branch of the build repo this should take effect for all the upcoming releases, usually a release manager should use previous input manifest as a reference, here for example for 2.13.0 will be referred from 2.12.0.
