What's in Shareabouts now:

• simple map interface, to explore submitted locations and add your own ** activity ticker ** "add point" form
• flexible text using Rails localization
• geospatial database ** limit contributions to within boundaries ** assign neighborhood names
• simple admin interface ** blogging tools to create pages or blog posts ** map and location configuration ** export to GIS

• easy sign-up for a data store account
• store anything - arbitrary key value store on a point?
• external R+W api
• better analytics on data

Shareabouts front end

Map

• better social media integration - see your friends

• filtering - own points, recent points, etc

• SMS-to-map integration

• easily integrate other map layers

• easy to configure data collection/survey form for new points

• front end 'flavors' - public crowdsourcing (e.g. identify potential locations), input on existing data (e.g. comment on stations), data collection (e.g. pro tools for data gathering), etc
