ISO provides Extensible Stylesheet Language Transformations (XSLT) files for converting from ISO 19115:2003 metadata model to ISO 19115:2014 and conversely. We should verify that the replacement documented in GeoAPI are consistent with those XSLT. Some inconsistencies found is:

  • MD_Format.name: GeoAPI said "replaced by formatSpecificationCitation.alternateTitle" but the toISO19139.xsl seems to use formatSpecificationCitation.title.
  • MD_Format.specification: GeoAPI said "replaced by formatSpecificationCitation.title" but the toISO19139.xsl seems to use formatSpecificationCitation.alternateTitle.
