Unable to Build on Linux

I HATE to ask this, but after looking at the lookup order docs I am totally stuck trying to deploy the Example Site.

I am building on my dev box with Windows and it builds fine.

hugo v0.84.0-2C4689F7B+extended windows/amd64 BuildDate=2021-06-18T17:14:27Z VendorInfo=gohugoio

When I add it to a Linux build server I am getting:

Is there a difference in how the Linux version does the lookups?

It's okay; no worries. Could you check if the theme was correctly installed on the linux server. Especially if you're loading the theme as a submodule.

If using a CI on a remote server, it helps to pass --recurse-submodules flag to git clone command. It always saves me a hell of pain when working with submodules 😄; and submodules don't seem that scary .

Thanks, I have tried several options, but the easiest (for me and my sanity) is to "own" the theme for my blog and "maintain" the theme, including PRs from a separate repo. That way I can test my use case and test again against the Example site before submitting a PR.

Hopefully I'll add search to this one. Going to try to start with Lunr. I may switch to Azure Search, but I think Lunr is enough for the amount of content I have planned.
