npm install not working

Expected Behavior

install the project dependencies
...

Actual Behavior

bash: npm: command not found

...

Steps to Reproduce the Problem

1. Step 1.. Fork repo
2. Step 2..clone repo
3. Step 3..register the upstream repo
4. create branch
5. fetch upstream
6. install the dependencies

I am using node v16.15.1
Running npm install gives following error message

just see whether you are using latest Node.js or not and try again

@Nahdus I hope the issue is resolved by now. if not:
I got this error a while ago as well.
you might need to change a couple of docs on your PC for it
