From NYU A11y Review:

Listbox element doesn't follow expected pattern.

The listboxes used within the site on the search results page to allow the user to select the order in which they wish to see the results as well as on the individual result pages to allow the user to select a specific style (APA, Chicago, etc.) do not follow the expected pattern. Refer to the WAI-ARIA authoring pattern for collapsible drop-down listbox.
