This looks like it would be a good solution for problems like syrusakbary/validate_email#72 / sdgathman/pyspf#2 / etc.

Do you plan to release it on PyPI soon, or only after doing the long TODO list? ;-)

Might also be worth allowing the preferred library to be selected, as I see projects switching from one to the other cisagov/trustymail#25 vs ValiMail/authentication-headers@fcc90bb

fwiw, my needs have been met by https://github.com/jayvdb/dns-cache , but I still think that this project is very useful, as a lighter weight solution and I've mentioned it in my README, and linked to this issue.
