Failed to Activate error

I am getting the "failed to activate" error that you had resolved on 28 Feb 2016.

Since you fixed the problem over a year ago, I am assuming that I am doing something wrong. Unfortunately, I am not a programmer and have very limited knowledge compared to most of the folks who use Atom, so I apologize in advance if you have to explain things in an elementary fashion.

I am using Atom 1.18.0 x64
