I would like to know too. I'm having problems with Rails 5.

This gem is based on AdminLTE v.2.1
A support of Bootstrap 4 will in the next version of Admin LTE - v.3.

FYI, here is an open issue in AdminLTE repo - AdminLTE 3.0 Plans #710.
