nmix()
These are both a bit simpler than N-mixtures but they allow for multiple detections of the same individuals: https://github.com/MartijnUH/RWsim_abundance_models/tree/main/Stan. As a result, they may give better predictions of latent "abundance" for passive surveillances such as camera trap data (https://esj-journals.onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/full/10.1002/1438-390X.12028). When doing this, it would be a good time to ensure multithreading support for all detection error families
