after about a year and a half of using this ugen regularly in sound design, i have some thoughts:
i don't like the "stereo" argument anymore. it's too metallic, so i always turn it up to 1. that will probably need complete redesign. i admit that my 2x2 FDN idea was a misguided attempt at making this verb feel "original," so i want to look into alternative methods for controlling stereo width.
i wasn't especially diligent when it comes to delay line tuning and i would like to revisit that eventually.
on synthetic signals (the main use case for the reverb is for electronic music), it sounds best with heavy modulation. with better tuning it might sound better with low modulation settings.
it's pretty grainy and hard to make it sound good on transient signals, but i consider that part of the character of this topology, so i won't specifically try to address that unless i write a new reverb.
edit: is it just me or is the right channel a db or two louder than the left even with balanced input?
unlikely that i'll get around to these in the near future but i thought i'd dump some info on what i would improve if i had time.
