This is used as a stopgap lexcat for non-prepositional tokens that need to be revised—typically ones that need a N or V supersense.

  • concerned_with
  • same_old
  • better_off
  • true_to_ X’s _word
  • the_best_of_the_best
  • one_-_on_-_one

MWE changes

  • Break apart: can_not, if_ever (“If ever in Sicily”), and_now

  • Weaken: can_not_wait, ca_n’t_wait, Good_and_Bad, all_you_can_ask

  • Strengthen: whether~ … ~or~not

  • the best_of_the_best → the_best_of_the_best (but see (be) the best, one of the best, the best of the best #50)

  • a_good_few → a_ good _few

Supersense changes

  • verb "wait" ‘abide the time, stand still, or delay an action pending something happening’: v.cognition (was in some places annotated as v.social or v.stative)
    • "wait on" ‘serve’ is a separate sense
  • noun "wait" ‘period of waiting’ (there was a long wait, the wait was long): n.ACT
