"such" in legalese: D? Determiner?

CGEL p. 1546 characterizes "such" as an adjective (even when a predeterminer). Footnote 54 notes legal register uses like "such term" meaning 'this term', but doesn't explicitly comment on the category or function. It seems to be filling the Determiner slot, so maybe Det:AdjP?

I guess AdjPs cannot otherwise be determiners (p. 355), so it is reasonable to explain this by adding "such" to the determinative category.

• such criterion/criteria => this criterion, these criteria => D
• such is... => this is... => D
• such a criterion => *this a criterion => Adj
• the third such criterion => *the third this criterion => Adj
• one/no/any such criterion => *this such criterion => Adj
• all/both such criteria => all/both these criteria => D
  • a predeterminer construction: cf. all the criteria, *any the criteria

If we find such criterion without any other plausible DP, then I think it has to be a D there. The other contexts seem less clear.
