This ticket is an epic for performing a review and update and consolidate of the NavCoin webbsites. Originally this was all part of a single proposal. However the network doesn't seem to want to fund this amount of work. The proposal has been split into two bodies of work and the a new proposal has been submitted to fund part one. My contract work is ending next week so i have a window of a few weeks where i can focus on doing this work full time.
Part One
The focus of this proposal is to make sure that all the content on the navcoin.org site is up to date and has all the relevant information about the new privacy protocols and DAO features. This will at the least get NavCoin's main site up to date so it makes sense when people come to the site from the promotions happening around the new privacy features in January.
NavCoin Org
Layout & Design
rearrange navigation menu to accommodate new pages ported from navhub
add knowledge base to the navigation menu
Update or remove any outdated content
review and update the exchange listings
review and update the merchant listings
remove references to navhub
remove references to collab (if any)
remove references to coinpayments (is there any other payment processor we're on which we can swap in?)
Since there is a new logo coming soon and possibly new branding, i will leverage existing design elements instead of creating new ones to save time and re-work later.
If i have any time left during the proposal after completing this scheduled work, I will move onto some of the things which are listed under part two and get through as many as i can in the timeframe. I think the priority would be taking down the other old sites and setting up redirects so people are not confused by seeing different information on navhub and navcollab compared to navcoin.org. Beyond that, it would be starting to migrate the content which is still relevant from those sites and finally it would be porting and creating the react apps inside navcoin.org to make some of the content dynamic.
If you have any suggestions, comments or requests please comment below. And if you want to help with any of the copywriting and content creation please contact me.
Whatever is left over from this list after completing Part One will either be funded by a later proposal or split out into individual bounties and funded by the website bounty fund which still has nearly 22,000 NAV in it.
NavHub
Move any still relevant content from navhub to navcoin-org site
Community news
port react app from homepage to show the latest articles
make them directly link to medium instead of trying to scrape and format/re-host article
Information about community projects
NavPay
Next
Nav Explorer
Payment Button
NavPool
NavCoffee (i know the stream isn't live but its still a good example of getting navcoin tips on twitch)
there's a lot of good info on the Guides section. Perhaps this gets ported to the Knowledge Base and the knowledge base is more integrated into / referenced from the navcoin-org site.
Once relevant content has been ported over, decommission navhub & setup redirects to navcoin-org site
Knowledge Base
Design
update the design to be more in line with the navcoin-org site
Guides
port guides over from navhub
Bounty Program Update
review the content and create issues / bounties for missing content
Nav Collab
decommission the collab site
setup redirects to navcoin-org site
