Modifying behaviour of vanilla plates [Feature Request]

Hi, I was wondering if you can help me.

You may have heard of TangoTek's Decked Out 2 dungeon minigame built in survival Minecraft. One floor of the dungeon has wardens, and blackstone pressure plates were added to make navigating without making any sound tricky. Unfortunately this has the side effect of wardens distracting each other by stepping on the very same pressure plates.

Now that the world download is out I've been making some tweaks and additions to the game. There may be other ways to do this, but I'd really like to get a hold of a mod to alter the behaviour of blackstone pressure plates, so that wardens can't activate them (or simply so that only the player can activate them). I feel like this might be possible utilizing some of the code from your mod here, but I'm an amateur at modding so I'm not sure how I would go about doing this exactly.

I'm definitely not the only person who would appreciate a mod that can do this. Can you offer any guidance?
