I am afraid I do not have an experience with nodejs, but as a temporary solution, I have implemented a utility that can export and import services with routes: https://github.com/romanovskyj/gongfig probably it can be useful for somebody.

for anybody who needs service/route defination: you can try my brand new project https://github.com/liyuntao/kong-init written in rust(Just download the binary in /release page).

Currently supporting api-defination, service/route defination and plugins with a convenient yaml file.

As far it is still not resolved I have fully completed my configuration tool so with help of this you can easily export/import/flush kong configuration so you can propagate it to different installations, wipe it etc. Do not hesitate to open an issue if you any questions/comments regarding it.
