Prefilling the editor content with templates #110

I have templates for pages and would like to fill the editor with the template content. Like this...

mytemplate_1.php:
/*Template Name: Pages 1 */
$content = '

This is some pre-defined content that will appear in the editor.

';
the_editor($content);

Unfortunately, I have not found a way to do that. Is there a solution for this?
