store the profile as files
sync profiles on startup based on confirmation from a prompt (if there are differences)
write changes made to extensions and settings into profile.json -- not going to implement this as this will require a file watcher. better to sync at startup of the custom profile
when a profile is selected from the explorer, open the profile.json on closing, show the same sync option
