Error: MMKVNative bindings not installed

I'm fairly new at this (forgive me), but I've run cd ios && pod install and linked everything up to my react-native (0.67.3) project but I'm getting an error.

import MMKVStorage from "react-native-mmkv-storage";
const storage = new MMKVStorage.Loader().initialize();

Error: MMKVNative bindings not installed

I'm not sure what this means, I can't find any info in a search.

Hi!

You are not using my library. You are using react-native-mmkv-storage, my library is react-native-mmkv.

I explained the difference between that library and mine here.
