would be cool, to have the inserted images sortable via drag & drop. but i havn't figured this out myself, yet..

Ah yes, I like this idea too. I think I looked into briefly, but was a little too difficult for the first round. Definitely worth revisiting at some point.

You could potentially have the sorting work like the default Galleries Gutenberg block does where all of the media lives inside of the media modal... drag and drop works in there already so you'd get that for free. I'm just not sure how to tap into that without doing some research.
