This is a bit of a meta issue:
I noticed that the last non-translation commit was quite a while ago in 2023, and I understand that there's been a lot of change at Mozilla, so I was wondering if this plugin still has maintenance plans.

For example, there are some issues like #963 and #974 that break some big sites and kinda breaks Mozilla's push into AI (since this plugin breaks those).

If not, would Mozilla consider some community-led support for this? I love this feature in Firefox and would be happy to volunteer here. I'm sure there are others.

cc @groovecoder who seems to be the last person to commit who still contributes to Mozilla repos.
