How to call List type

How to call List type guys?
Suppose my animal type has 2 parameters: specie and energy and I've done the push_animal and want to call this func.
I tried the vec {} like array

dfx canister call day_4 push_animal '(vec {"tiger"; 95})'

but it not worked

So for List type we'll use record {} like below

dfx canister call day_4 push_animal '(record {specie = "tiger"; energy = 95})'
