CocoaHTTPServer has a websockets implementation. Since you are familiar with the GCDWebServer, it would be swell if you could add this functionality to the GCDWebServer.

uh! it seems a really nice idea.
Not so easy nor doable in short time, this is a client library for WAMP not a server implementation. And the server implementation a lot more :) but once in track with version 2 of the protocol, MDWamp could be a nice starting point to do such thing.
I'll definitely think about it!
