Thanks for the initiative. Happy to be included. |
Hello, Thank you for taking the initiative. I am unsure if my contribution (a wrapper for a model that was already implemented in another package) is sufficient for authorship in comparison to the more involved package infrastructure that others have contributed. It sounds like @bblodfon and @sebffischer want to recognize all contributors. I am happy to be included, and in that case I am available to do some of the writing work for the manuscript as well. But if you change your mind later and don't want a 25-author paper I'd be happy with a mention in the acknowledgements too :) My affiliation is: School of Environmental and Forest Sciences, University of Washington, Seattle, WA 98195 |
Sounds good! Hope my response isn't too late ;) |
Yes |
@pierrecamilleri Was your name "JazzyPierrot" when you contributed the two |
Yes ! But I have a serious job now... ;) |
thanks, I will change the author name in the learners so that we are up-to-date with names and contributors! |
Thanks ! |

Me (@bblodfon) and Sebastian (@sebffischer) have decided to make a JOSS publication for
mlr3extralearners
(summer side-quest). It's a concerstone package in themlr3
universe (with no learners you can't do ML), and community-driven as well (YOU) :)We would like to invite you to be authors in that paper (practically just adding your name there, no work is needed from you) since you all have contributed to this package (in most cases, adding a new learner). So please let us know if you'd like to be in the paper by replying!
Thanks, John & Sebastian.
