IMicrosoftGraphDirectoryObject - I have questions

I am trying to use new-mggraph to build a bunch of groups and add those groups to other groups using this memberof attribute, but I cannot get it to work. I have looked online, checked copilot but the examples provided never work so I came here. Does anyone have working example, or is it even possible, to create a group using new-mggraph and add it to other groups using the memberof attribute?

I have tried passing the groups as a variable with the group object as a parameter and splatting the attributes but none of it works. Any documentation online would be great. I would like to understand when a parameter type is IMicrosoftGraphDirectoryObject what it means, does it support splatting, how to construct and so on.
