Diagnostic information
|
I asked for this here as well: #9524 |
Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.
Not having this enabled causes "Object is remote" errors under WSL when trying to access an SMB share via a mounted DFS share.
Describe the solution you'd like
With this option enabled, this does not occur.
Describe alternatives you've considered
I can resolve this by installing a custom kernel, but it's not a sufficiently outré request (DFS being fairly common on Windows-based networks, in my experience) that it should need a custom kernel, IMO.
Additional context
Reopening of #5534, as requested by bot; still relevant.
