What is Common Voice? 🗣️
The Common Voice project is an open-source speech data collection platform and a multilingual speech clip dataset that is both cost and copyright-free. Our goals are to help make speech technologies work for end users who speak a dazzling variety of languages with a range of accents. We also want to help make sure that small, independent, and nonprofit developers of speech technology applications have access to free, high-quality multilingual data.
Who can contribute, and where do I start? 🤔
We hope to welcome some new documentation and technical contributions to ensure we get a wide range of perspectives as we build and improve the platform and datasets. If you’re interested, we could use your help in checking out our contribution guidelines here (https://github.com/common-voice/common-voice) and raising issues where the documentation looks outdated, confusing, or incomplete. We hope that getting your expert eyes on our contribution guidelines and documentation will allow us to welcome and better support future contributors.
Where can I talk to people about this? 👀
