Currently cannot customize taxonomy archives separately from the taxonomy archives

This is because we filter the option to force those settings as available, but the post_type doesn't actually support mai-archive-settings. If we add that support then it adds the checkbox which doesn't work because it's forced via the other filter. Also mai_get_loop_content_type_choices() checks if the taxonomy's post type supports mai-archive-settings.

I think we need to add a new filter or figure out a different way. Leaving things as-is for now to see if anybody every wants to do this anyway.
