Notes

  • Looks very similar to CUDA.
  • Supports three backends: OpenGL, DirectX and a CPU implementation for reference.
  • They implement a compiler (brcc) and a runtime (BRT). The compiler maps Brook kernels into Cg shaders (Cg is a legacy toolkit of NVIDIA before CUDA).
