Auto select windows using mouse hover is turned on but i still have to click my trackpad to actally switch to that app. Is this a bug? Would be great if i could just hover over it and it would switch to that app immediatly, withou needing to click on it.

Yes, it's a change introduced in the latest version. It solves 2 big issues that people have been complaining about, so i think it's a good trade-off.
