Installation problem: make install ineffective

After successfully compiling either from the git repo or a versioned tar.gz file, the make install has no effect. Any instructions I'm missing here? Thanks.

We don't support system-wide installation in our Makefile at the moment; you could copy the binaries to /usr/local/bin yourself. I'm not sure if CMake will generate install target by default, if it does that's another option to try.
