The example on this page for copyright

lists "Public Domain" as the copyright's linguistic object's content. Technically speaking, public domain indicates the absence of copyright so I'm wondering whether this is semantically correct although I certainly understand the clarity and simplicity this affords so I'm probably in favor of it, but wanted to raise in case it should be discussed.

I think it's correct to call it a 'statement', even if it's a bit borderline as it's a very negative statement, in a way. It would be much more incorrect to call it a 'license'.
