Hi Rufus!
I hope you had a good start into the year. I recently watched this:
[Philosophy Tube]
I think it asks some interesting questions about future narratives in society, not only crypto ( hence the EA reference) but a kind of more general technological/progress driven narrative.
I the last section she asks about why EA does not include the more broader society into the discussion about what progress means.
I think this is a very important point and I think there are some negative narratives spread by the EA and crypto community.
But there is also this interesting image:

This identifies 10 major influence streams which relate to the crypto iceberg.
While pointing out all the bullshit and dangerous things about crypto I think its also important to take a look at the places where positive things are happening.
I wrote earlier about the keynote from jaya clara brekke, I would place her work into that positive category. But there is a lot more like the work of the kernel community. Which does a lot of things like for example trying to create a more conscious and positive intent when we engage with crypto/technology. the kernel syllabus gives an impression of that.

But its really in the aliveness of the process, of the conversations at kernel and its related projects.
For example kernel recently had a session with Joe Edelman on "Rebuilding society on meaning". Joe Edelman comes from the timewellspent/designer community.
