Token balance doesn't update with activity confirmation, or take longer than expected to update

sBTC doesn't show under "manage tokens" or token list sometimes, it takes longer than they expect.

They expect to see the sBTC balance in the wallet after a couple seconds, or perhaps a minute.
But it doesn't show even after several minutes or more, that seems odd, especially when the activity does show.
