<h1>Diploma in Computer Science and Engineering</h1>
<p>Diploma in Software engineering is one of the most popular branches of computer science and has taken over the world in the digitization era. Software engineers are required in almost every field these days. With the easy accessibility of computers and smartphones, the importance of software engineering has become more pronounced.
</p>
<p>
Since software engineering is an advanced field of the IT industry, there are very few institutes that offer bachelor courses in this field.Diploma in Computer Science is perfect for those students whose basic interest is to master the field of Computer Science and also to work for IT firms. This course is formulated to equip students with the fundamentals of IT and Computer Science.</p>

<h3><b>Eligibility criteria</b></h3>
<ul style="list-style-type: disc">
<li>The student must have completed class 10th from a school that comes under a recognised board of education.</li>
<li>The aggregate score of the candidate in class 10th board exams must be at least 50%. Some relaxation in aggregate marks is provided at most of the colleges to the students belonging to reserved categories</li>
<li>The candidate must have received passing marks in all the subjects of class 10th.</li>
<li>The time duration is three years</li>

<h3><b>Board</b></h3>
<p>To help speed up the process of development of Technical Education, a Board in the name and style of "STATE BOARD OF TECHNICAL EDUCATION AND TRAINING" was created vide G.O.Ms.No.371 Edn-dated 26.2.1957. The Joint Director (Technical Education) of DPI used to act as secretary of this newly formed Board. The Board is formed as a statutory body under the A.P. Education Act-1982 (act 1 of 1982), an act of assembly, in the present form, vide G.O.Ms.No.140 dated 24.4.1984.</p>

The candidates can also apply for lateral entry to Diploma(Polytechnic)through which they can get direct admission to second year of Polytechnic. Diploma(Polytechnic)Lateral Entry is for a total duration of 2 years. </p>
<p>The eligibility criteria which the candidates must fulfil for lateral entry to Diploma in Engineering are:</p>

<li>The candidate must have passed a degree in ITI from a recognized institute.</li>

<li> The candidate must have acquired a vocational qualification or a certification course in Technical Field after completing 10th/ 12th from a recognised board.</li>
