In modern greek it is customary to use greek counters without keraia. When using the 'classical' way to load greek, one could achieve this by redefining \textdexiakeraia. When using the 'modern' way to load greek, there does not seem to be a similar way (or it is not documented, as far as I can tell).
Since support for modern greek counters exists in the .ini file (in the form of the lower.modern and upper.modern numeric styles), I would like to suggest to add similar styles without keraia. Thus one could use whichever they find more appropriate.
