Following a recent team meeting, branding decisions for the Kiwix JS apps were recorded in the Branding document.
This issue is about reviewing the presence/branding in the Browser Extension and Ubuntu stores. Unfortunately, historic titles for the Store presence varied and does not conform to the branding. It may be possible to change the title information shown in stores, so long as this does not fork the app and leave current users stranded on an old store presence and entry.
The stores for this top-level app are:
Mozilla Add-Ons Store
Chrome Extension Store
Microsoft Edge Add-Ons Store
Ubuntu Open Store
Additionally, the PWA / Electron fork of this app (downstream) is delivered on Windows via:
The Microsoft Store
Winget Repository
The presence in the Microsoft Store is already published simply as "Kiwix JS", which is conformant. This is fortunate, because it is not possible to change a Microsoft Store presence without reserving a new app name and forking the app.
