Keyboard locked in VS Code while Kite is Opened

When utilizing the instant code documentation, via hovering over a method and clicking Docs, my keystrokes don't register in VS Code while navigating the Kite app. It isn't until I close the Kite app that all of my keystrokes then rapidly appear in VS Code.

I don't recall having messed with any settings, so I'm not sure if it's something I did to cause this.
