logrotate having file change issues

I'm not sure why this should ever happen - but it's happening a bit lately

/etc/cron.daily/logrotate:
gzip: stdin: file size changed while zipping

from mauro, "the gzipping thing with logrotate is probably some proc that didn't get the HUP signal to reopen it's logfile's fd when the log was rotated or something like that"

i added a --verbose flag to logrotate, so if this happens again we should see which log file it's talking about. the change is here:

/etc/cron.daily/logrotate:14 /usr/sbin/logrotate --verbose /etc/logrotate.conf
