Improve this approach by:

  • using OONI's custom CA bundle instead of the system one
  • maybe not only verifying the leaf certificate but the whole chain -> https://golang.org/pkg/crypto/x509/#Certificate.Verify
  • loose CustomTLSVerify field, use custom verification when NoTLSVerify is set, store information but don't fail
