Katoomba Street Permaculture is delighted to present a unique opportunity to complete the internationally-recognized 72 hour Permaculture Design Course (PDC) in Katoomba. The PDC program gives you the knowledge and skills to design permaculture systems so you can grow food, conserve resources, optimise animal and plant systems and have a wonderful positive impact in your community and the environment.

We kick off on <b>Friday 4th October and go Fridays and Saturdays and conclude on Saturday Nov 10th 2012</b></strong>
<p>classes are 9 - 5pm, there will be some assignments between classes

The Permaculture Design Course (PDC) is a solid foundation in

<li>Applying permaculture design at any scale, whether your home, garden workplace or city
<li> Permaculture design strategies work anywhere and everywhere
<li> Designing passive heating and cooling systems

<li>Getting to know soil and soil life
<li>Collecting and managing water in the home, streetscape & rural settings
<li>Maintaining healthy edible gardens, food forests and landscapes
<li>Learning all about trees, energy and nutrient cycles
<li>Managing pests and diseases naturally
<li>Incorporating animals of all kinds into permaculture systems
<li>Designing sustainable houses and habitats with appropriate technologies and renewable energy
<li>Building local permaculture communities and transition towns</UL>
